Clifton Coronation Celebration
As part of the Coronation Big Lunch celebrations, Clifton is holding a Bring and Share Picnic Party on Sunday the 7th of May 2023.
The Picnic will be held at Clifton Pocket Park on Valley Road. Between 12noon and 2pm.
The community is invited to come together bring along a picnic and celebrate as a community the coronation of King Charles III, along with the rest of the United Kingdom as part of the Big Lunch celebrations taking place across the country.
You are also welcome to bring along and share any cakes or other treats with the community for those who wish to.
We have also added a few coronation recipe suggestions to our coronation page on the Clifton Community Council Website along with a link to the official royal coronation quiche recipe.
The Coronation picnic will also enable the community to come together and use the new Clifton Pocket Park space created for community events and enjoyment as an outdoor space.
There is some limited seating available at the pocket park, so please do bring along a picnic rug or outdoor chair if you wish.

A Special Bank Holiday Has Been proclaimed By The Prime Minister in honour of The Coronation, Giving everyone the opportunity to join in with their communities and good causes across the country through Big Help Out activities.
The coronation and procession on Saturday 6th May and the Coronation Concert on the 7th May will be broadcast live on BBC one, BBC iPlayer, BBC radio 2.
