Serious Infectious Disease Policy activation

Clifton Community Council have tonight 9th December 2021 activated it’s Serious Infectious Disease Policy in accordance with the activation policy criteria. Government announced yesterday that due to the ongoing pandemic and emergence of the Omicron mutation that measures to help protect public health again need to be introduced including work from home. Unfortunately, at this time government have failed to again enable councils to resume holding meetings remotely to enable safe transaction of council business. Then activation of the councils Serious Infectious Disease Policy enables continuity of council business and support for the community to continue whatever the next few months may bring. The council will continue to work to support the community and deliver services for our community including the street lighting to community projects. We hope government will enable virtual meetings to resume so we can hold our meetings in a safe way over the next few months, but the policy enables the business of council to happen including budget setting process for the year ahead.
